TrueRate is a free freelance developer rate calculator that runs entirely in your browser. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it. In short: nothing you type ever leaves your device.

How TrueRate works

TrueRate is a 100% client-side tool. All calculations run locally in your web browser using JavaScript. There is no backend server, no database, and no API. The rate, schedule, tax, and cost values you enter are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Data we collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. TrueRate has no accounts, no login, and no forms that submit information to a server. The numbers you enter into the calculator stay in your browser's memory while the page is open and are discarded when you close or reload the page. We do not save your inputs or results anywhere.

Cookies

TrueRate does not set any cookies of its own and does not use tracking or analytics cookies to identify you. If advertising is added in the future (see below), any third-party cookies would be governed by that provider's own policy, and this page will be updated to reflect that.

Advertising

The page reserves clearly-labeled empty ad slots for future use. At this time these slots are placeholders only: they contain no ad scripts, no iframes, and make no requests to any ad network. We intend to serve ads through Google AdSense in the future. When that happens, this policy will be updated to describe how AdSense uses cookies and data, and to provide the relevant opt-out information.

Third-party services

TrueRate is served as static files and does not embed third-party trackers, social widgets, or external analytics. No third party receives your calculator inputs.
